In addition to being an artist, I am also a super-duper mega-nerd. There’s little point trying to deny it. On the contrary, I’m pretty proud of my uber-geek status. I’m by no means a complete “propeller head“, but I’ve dabbled in my fair share of geekery including designing virtual environments, tinkering with artificial intelligence, working as systems operator or systems administror, I’m well versed in network security, technical support, e-commerce, web design, graphic design, and a slew of other techs.
I’ve also had a long-standing affinity for all things 3D. I take my own anaglyph photographs (and have even taken 3D snapshots from within virtual spaces, such as World of Warcraft, Neverwinter Nights, City of Heroes, and Second Life – did I mention I was a gamer too? lol!). Prior to the current 3D movie explosion, three dimensional entertainment was pretty damned hard to come by. I spent months experimenting with various ways of converting 2D media to 3D and have since created numerous “homebrew” 3D anaglyph movies for my own enjoyment. They’re nowhere near as good as what’s currently available in theaters, but they score real high on the “cheese” scale and that works for me 
I also have a small collection of vintage 70s and 80s 3D flicks including Friday the 13th Part III, Amityville Horror 3D, and Jaws 3D, among others. I’ve even got a bootleg of Captain EO around here someplace.

I love stop motion animation, chromakey (greenscreen / bluescreen), and time lapse photography as well, and have tinkered with them all to some extent. I’m fascinated with low-budget special effects, the kinds of things they did before all the CGI got in the way (not that I don’t love CG as well).

I’m a musician, of sorts, too. I’ve created several experimental electronic tracks (essentially sound collages), have been learning to play guitar for the last couple of years, and am known to sing at any & every available opportunity (karaoke – Japanese for “tone deaf drunk with a microphone”). I love music, it energizes and invigorates the spirit, makes me feel alive.

Here I am contact juggling, one of my other geekish hobbies (below). I can also do your basic 3-ball juggling tricks, nothing too fancy. Oh, and I used to play a lot of hackey sack – it’s just juggling with your feet, haha.
